Apple launches iPad2


Apple launched the iPad 2 last week with more modifications and upgrades(at the same price of iPad 1). The iPad 2 will come in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G models. There's AirPlay and AirPrint, which lets users stream media and print documents wirelessly. Also, FaceTime makes its first appearance on the tablet ,so you can video chat using an iPad 2 as well.
The iPad 2's specifications:

  • 9.7-inch LED-Backlit Multitouch Display screen
  • 3G (optional), Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR
  • Dual cameras with video recording capability for HD (720p) videos
  • Internal storage options of 16/32/64 GB
  • 3.5 mm audio jack
The iPad 2 will run in the new iOS 4.3 (we've seen the beta version of it before). There's also the regular feature-set of adigital compass, a gyrometer, an accelerometer and an ambient light sensor. This tablet will also have access to GarageBand and iMovie which lets you play different instruments and edit videos respectively. 

The iPad 2 will be hitting stores in the US on March 11th while in other countries like the UK, France, Germany and Japan, it should be out on the 25th of March. 


The basic only Wi-Fi 16 GB model will set you back by $499 (approx Rs. 23,000) 
The 32 GB and 64 GB versions are priced at $599 (approx Rs. 27,000) and $699 (approx Rs. 32,000) respectively. 
The 16 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model is suggested to cost $629 (approx Rs. 29,000), the 32 GB version at $729 (approx Rs. 33,000) and the 64 GB version at $829 (approx Rs. 38,000).
