Windows phone 7.8 will be available for all Samsung windows phones

Earlier, We got a rumour that, Samsung Omnia W will not get Windows phone 7.8 update, which really made sad to most of the omnia w owners, especially me as I own this incredible device. But this week, it seems we got a confirmation on the OS update for all the Samsung Windows phones to WP 7.8. Please check the below paragraph stated by Samsung Italy, which was posted on

"We can confirm that our products carrying the Windows Phone version 7.5 , are updated the [version] 7.8 but will be made ??available with terms decided by Microsoft."

Even though this news makes the users happy, its a rumour and the manufacturer or Microsoft has never made any official announcements on this. Please note that, all the Windows phone 7.5 users are eagerly waiting for a longer time to get their update.

Windows phone 7.8 is not officially released: by Nokia

Nokia has communicated with morning to let you know that the Windows Phone 7.8 update has not yet been officially released. Those who have already received the update feature in Nokia is on a pre-production unit of Nokia.
Yesterday we reported on the fact that the Windows Phone 7.8 update available for the Nokia Lumia 800. It now appears, however, those were test specimens for developers and media. Nokia brings the update in all probability in order to detect possible bugs. It is therefore likely that the version will be released early next year and will be able to download a higher version number which can have some bug fixes.
Spokeswoman Stella Jansen says here that they respond differently because people are disappointed that they have not received the update. The update will be early next year through Zune available for regular Lumia phones. Users will get to see the message when they connect their phone to the computer.
Lets wait and watch.

Nokia Lumia 800 gets Windows phone 7.8 update

I just hung my Nokia Lumia 800 to Zune to just some photos to sync and tadaaaa! There is an update ready!
Indeed, there is no one ready, but the whole process on Windows Phone 7.8 ending up takes about four updates all at once installed. If your device is already completely up to date, you will get first Nokia Update, then update to 7.10.8773 7.10.8779.8, then proceed with the update to 7.10.8783, which prepares the device for the final update to 7.10. 8858.136, to be exact. When the process is complete, you will in any case be provided with the opportunity to reduce your Tiles and there are a large number of changes. The splash screen is the same as that of the Windows Phone 8 devices and the Xbox Tile is now fully Windows Phone 8 style!
For those who can no longer wait, hang your Lumia 800 (or 900) to Zune and see if the update is available. It may be that branded devices have to wait, but hopefully also in the coming weeks the new version presented.

Nokia Lumia 510 to come with WP 7.8 out of the box

Nokia is launching the Lumia 510 in India with Windows Phone 7.8 running out of the box.

The Lumia 510 is the only smartphone to get Windows Phone 7.8 in India. However, at the moment Windows Phone 7.8 update won’t be available as an OTA update to existing users and will only be available to those who buy the smartphone with the new OS out of the box. Microsoft had earlier announced it will provide Windows Phone 7.8 update to existing users in early 2013. Something tells us that the update roll-out is not very far off!

More News on Windows Phone 7.8

A 25-page leaked Nokia document that largely already known information on each Nokia features (bus & train, external playback, share contacts, etc.) included. Interesting but is a Windows Phone (Update) timeline, which is also part of this document.
The above graphic to be seen can be seen first of all that Windows Phone 7.8 will be released in any case before the next Windows Phone 8 updates. But it might even be considered the most pessimistic among us. However, beyond the last rectangle in the bottom row stab (right of "Windows Phone 7.8 refresh") in the eye. May be inferred from this that the Windows Phone 7.8 update will be other version numbers refer to "Windows Phone 7.x".
Accordingly, plans at least Nokia's own Windows phones to provide you with further updates, although they will not receive an update to Windows Phone 8th That this is not "just" app updates, can be derived from the separate identification of these as "Nokia Extras".
course we can not say how much can be built on this document. What is certain is that it comes from Nokia and the Finnish company would like to provide information to the course of Windows Phone updates in the past and for the future.

Updated release details:
"If the information really true that the update of the RTM status, then the update will not appear safe in the coming days, but all too far away it will not be. But even if the rolling out, will be quick to be the first devices to receive the update at the earliest probably in December and most will probably get Windows Phone 7.8 until next year. More likely, however, that the update until next year appears. In any case, we can not yet expect the update in November."
